Fun little boy!

One morning I had a little photo shoot with Winston.  I think he makes the perfect subject :)

He's started doing this a lot when he gets tired, just resting his head.  It's so fun when you are holding him and he rests his head on you.  I love it!

I just had to get a picture of his legs, or should I say rolls?  and I love that he's making the peace sign with his hand.  And of course he's sticking out his tongue!

He's not always smiles though, but I definitely think he's always cute!

Happy Father's Day

Oh no, they've started wrestling already!  Winston is getting pretty good at grabbing whatever is in front of him.  I've started wearing a ponytail every day since he loves to grab my hair when he can.  And I think Whit will think twice about putting his ears within grabbing distance.  Ouch!

This is Winston's newest smile.  He does it all the time and I find it hilarious.

Just lounging around, what he does best :)

I laugh every time I look at this!  His expression and the fact that he won't look at me made for a very funny picture.  We got him all ready and went swimming at our pool.  It was super crowded though, and way windy, so we didn't stay for very long.  I got cold!  And then Winston had a runny nose the next day--I think we made him sick by being outside in a wet swimsuit with such strong wind.  Yuck!  Lesson learned, no swimming when it's windy :)

So cute, even with a runny nose :)

On Saturday it was my mom's birthday.  To celebrate, she came up with my dad, brother Dallin, and sister Kira.  We went for a bike ride along the Jordan River Parkway.  We started out at 106th South, and went as far south as the trail did.  When we got to the end, we recognized it as a little park we pass on our temple to temple run!  It was fun to explore the trail and find out how far it goes.  It was hot though!!!

Then we came back to our place, after eating lunch of course, and my sister made a delicious birthday cheesecake.

 Winston and Grandma C :)

 Kira's beautiful and delicious creation.

Then we played a rousing game of blokus, followed by several games of boggle on our phones :)  Then my family left and Whit and I were so tired, we just vegged out with Winston for the rest of the day!

Sunday morning I made Whit biscuits and gravy, his favorite.  Then we went to our ward at the new time, 11:00!  That is the best time for church ever :)  Our ward split a couple of weeks ago, so now our ward is much smaller (385 people as opposed to 700).  It been really fun to see everyone's enthusiasm about the changes.  And we're excited too, Whit got called to be the Young Men's President!  He's going to do an awesome job :)

Whit's the best dad ever!  Winston and I are so grateful for all he does for us!  Love you Whit!  :)

8 months old!

Hard to believe but this chunky little guy turned 8 months old on Sunday :)  The time just keeps whizzing by!  This is about the extent of his exercise these days, bouncing up and down

it's not doing much for those rolls on his thighs,

or the three chins he has here,

but that's ok--we love him chubby!

He still loves sticking his tongue out and grabbing his feet

I think he looks pretty asian in this picture, don't you think?

He's such a happy baby these days

and we love every last inch of him!  Happy 8 month birthday Winston :)

It's summer time!

 Aren't they so cute together?

Whit went fishing with his buddy last weekend, so it was just me and Winston.  I dragged him to the community garden I've been helping at, and I weeded while he slept in his trailer.

I love when he takes naps!  :)

Sunday was a happy day because we were all together again :)

Poor guy just gets smothered with kisses!

One day I just had fun taking pictures of his crazy smile.  He loves to stick out his tongue these days.

and put things in his mouth,

whatever he can find.  For some reason, he really likes fabric things in his mouth--burp cloths, washcloths, and blankets.  He's weird.

But oh so cute!  He's just way too much fun :)

Happy Second Anniversary to Us!

I've been having so much fun with my new phone!  My dad is super awesome, and let us tag on to his family plan that he gets through his work at BYU.  So with all of the money will be saving by switching over, we got new smart phones.  I never thought I would want one, but I'm loving it!  Mostly I just love taking pictures and videos of Winston :)

I think he's the cutest ever!

Hard to believe, but May 28th marks two years since we've been married!  It's been so much fun and I feel so blessed to be married to such a wonderful man.  I love you Whit!

To celebrate, Whit took Friday off work and we used my Auntie Jo's super sweet connection at Marriott, and spent the day and night up at Park City.  After we checked into our hotel, we went shopping at the outlets.  I realize my life has drastically changed from two years ago, since the only stores we went to were gymboree, baby gap, and carters!  We got some cute clothes for Winston.

The boys watched some sports on tv for a few minutes when we got back, and then we went to dinner.  We decided to eat in the restaurant at the hotel, since we didn't know how long Winston would last.  He did pretty good at first but then we had to take turns walking around with him while the other one ate.  Not exactly a romantic dinner, but it was fun.  And then we went swimming!

Our room opened directly out onto the patio by the pool.  It was so fun and very convenient!

My sweet co-worker gave us this floaty toy as a baby gift, and I've been so excited to finally get to use it.  It has holes in the bottom for Winston to put his legs through.  The water was a little on the cold side, but he seemed to do ok.

He did even better when we took his legs out of the holes and let him just sit in it!  I love how relaxed he looks.  And I love all of his fat rolls!

After swimming we gave him a bath and got him all ready for bed.  He was so happy, it was a super fun day!

Saturday we got up and checked out of the hotel and went to Main Street.  We found a yummy place for breakfast,

and Winston stayed asleep the whole meal!  It was awesome.

We walked around for a few minutes but it was a little on the chilly side, so we didn't stay for long.

We drove up through Guardsman Pass on the way home.  It was such a beautiful drive and we even got snowed on!  I just love the mountains and I'm so grateful we live close to so many beautiful places.  What a wonderful weekend and such a great way to celebrate our anniversary!

Then on Sunday after church we went down to my parent's house in Spanish Fork.  We played a rousing game of badmitton.  It was fun :)

Monday morning we went over to the cemetery and listened to the program that the veterans put on.  It was really nice to reflect on all of those that have sacrificed so much on our behalf.

Then we went to Bryce's grave to hang out for a bit.  It's nice that we can go and remember Bryce and talk about all of the funny things he did.  I will always remember the time he pinned my arms behind my back and ran my face into the wall!  I don't think he expected that to happen!  But I was kind of defenseless without the use of my arms :)  He sure was a tease!

When Winston got tired of sitting, he just folded himself right up :)  He rested like that for awhile, then we packed up and walked back to my parents house and spent the afternoon having a bbq and then going on a lovely bike ride.  It was such a beautiful day and it was fun to be able to spend it with family.  We're so lucky to live so close to everyone.  It was an awesome weekend!
