24 weeks

Hard to believe another week has come and gone!
Winston still loves hanging upside down,

 kicking up his feet,

and adoring his dad!

We are soooo loving the warmer weather!  This weekend Whit put up our bike racks in the garage.  It's so nice to be able to put them up and out of the way.

We are so happy to finally have bikes!  We've been taking Winston out for rides every chance we get.  Our awesome neighbors gave us one of their old bike trailers--so nice of them!  Winston usually falls asleep whenever we take him for a ride, so I think we'll be doing a lot of biking this summer :)

We've gone out for walks too, I just had to laugh when I realized that we were twinners!  I guess I need to pay more attention to what I am wearing when I dress Winston :)

Our little river dancers!  Lately he has been rubbing his ankles together.  Not quite sure if they bother him or it's just one of those weird things he does?  He's also started fake coughing.  Whit things Winston's trying to imitate him, since he was coughing a lot last week when he was sick.  And Whit said he always rubbed his ankles together when he was little too.  So who knows, maybe it's really just a case of like father like son!    But it's so funny when he rubs his little legs together.  He's getting faster and faster and it really does look like he's doing a river dance.  It gets really exciting when he does it in the bathtub and water splashes everywhere!  He's such great entertainment :)

A couple of weeks ago we were trying to come up with nicknames for the little guy, and we tossed around the name "jabba" for jabba the hut.  I think this picture explains why!

I ran a 5k in Layton with my co-workers.  They started a running club in my office, and if we wear these shirts with the office's logo on them, they will reimburse us for the race.  I thought that was a great idea, so this was my first race wearing the shirt that is way too small for me!  I ran most of the race with my co-worker that had a baby in December.  She was pushing her baby in the stroller so my only goal for the race was to at least beat her!  There was part of the race that I lagged behind a bit, but then the wind picked up and slowed her down a bit and I was able to pull ahead,

barely.  I think I finished 20 seconds ahead of her!

There were only 4 of us from the office that ran, but we had a good time.
It was a beautiful day for a race :)

And Winston was a great cheerleader!

23 weeks

Winston got both of his hands stuck down in the leg holes of his bouncer. And like every good mom, instead of rushing to help him, I ran and grabbed the camera!

He is so much fun these days! He is learning how to grab onto things and loves wrestling with this little lion puppet that we have. He's getting quite the good grip! I can't wait until he starts wrestling with his dad :)

He's so snuggly too! Sometimes when Winston gets tired, he will rest his head on your shoulder and just sit there for awhile. It's one of my favorite things. I told my boys to smile for this picture, and Whit assured me that they are. Like father like son, Korean smiles all the way.

My sweet friend Hollie came to visit this week. She and I have been friends since junior high. She brought her 3 adorable kids and we played outside in the wind :) It was so fun to catch up with her and see how much her kids have grown. They live all the way up in Idaho, so we don't get to see each other often. Thanks Hollie for visiting!!! :)

Saturday we went down to Provo for the Rex E Lee race. It was my sister Kira's first race. She did awesome! This was the first race I ran with my parents, all the way back in 2003! After we ran this 5k race back then, we decided to do a 10k, then a half marathon, and then my dad and I ran a full marathon. I've run a lot of races with my parents and am so grateful for their example of staying physically fit. I hope I can stay as active as they are--it sure is a lot harder with kids! But I think all of those runs pushing Winston in the stroller helped, I felt so light when I was running this race!

I did have a hard time keeping up with my dad though :) He's fast! But I only finished about 20 seconds behind him, due mostly to the fact that he stayed by my side during the whole run--just like always. Thanks Dad!

And of course we had to do something fun together after the race. Bowling! The back up activity when the weather isn't so great. I was just excited to finally break 100! It's been awhile for me.

Winston was awake this time and had fun hanging out with everyone and looking all around. He's so close to being able to sit up on his own!

Not quite sure what these two are looking at,

but they seem to be happy now :)

Winston has recently discovered his toes and loves grabbing onto them. It's so fun to watch.

What a cutie huh?

It's been another fun filled week of smiles at the Anderson home! Winston seems to be getting less camera shy, or at least more smiley--so we've been able to get a few more pictures of smiles. I'm loving it! :)

He wasn't smiling when he got his arm stuck though! Poor kid!

He still loves to suck on his hands--he can almost fit his whole fist into his mouth too!

Whit was trying to imitate Winston's Korean smile. I think it needs a little work!

I've been trying to get back into running lately. Since the weather hasn't been too awful, I've bundled up Winston and put him in the stroller and we go for runs together. He loves it! I just wish I could keep up my pace like I used to, he sleeps the whole time I'm running and is much happier when he gets a longer nap. I'm hoping that I'll get in better shape soon and be able to run longer--then we'll both be happy! :)

Whit got sick again this weekend. At this rate, I"m almost tempted to ban him from work! It seems like he comes down with something way too often. Sick people, stay home! So we spent the weekend hanging out around the house. Whit didn't want to breathe on Winston, so he made a mask to wear when I needed him to hold the baby for a few minutes. Winston wasn't quite sure what to think about it. I thought it was hilarious when Whit told me that during his nap he had a dream that he was a ninja. Wonder where he got that thought in his head? :)

Have a good week everybody!

21 Weeks

Say cheese!  Here are just some of my favorite photos that we took of Winston this last weekend.  I just think he's the cutest baby ever!  :)

After a long, hard day at work, Whit surprised me with these beautiful lilies.  I'm so grateful to have such a kind and thoughtful husband!

Winston's legs are getting so strong.  He loves to stand up and practice walking.

Love this little one so much!

20 Weeks

 Just chillaxin' on daddy's leg

and we kind of got a smile!

Winston got his first taste of rice cereal.  He just gobbled it up!  Whit said, "he must be asian, he likes rice!"  :)

We don't know why, but he loves to hang upside down.

It was my friend Kasey's birthday last week.  She had us all over to her house for dinner to celebrate.  Holly found this great blow-up hair to wear for the occasion.  I have awesome friends!

As I was getting Winston ready for bed last night, I put him down on the recliner for a second so I could get his blanket ready to swaddle him.  He just sat there so well on the chair.  It's like a switch flipped this week, and he has been so happy and content.  He hardly cries at all anymore!  I've had to start going in to his room in the morning to check on him.  Most of the time he just wakes up and looks around his room, waiting for me to come get him.  He doesn't even cry to let me know he's awake.  It's so awesome!  I just love my mellow little fellow!  :)
