6 months!

Our happy little 6 month old!  At his checkup, he weighed 19 pounds 12 ounces, was 26.75" long, and was in the 75-90% for weight, 50% for height.  He's growing like a weed and everyone loves his chubby legs!

He's getting quite the good grip, and if you aren't quick he will pull off your glasses.  I've had him grab earrings and necklaces too, I guess it's about time for me to change some of my jewelry choices for awhile :)

Of course he's the best at grabbing his feet!  I just think it's so adorable when he does this.  I don't know why, but it's too cute when he grabs his feet--me grabbing my feet, not that exciting.  I guess everything's just cuter on Winston!

After family pictures last week, Whit shaved his head.  Like son like father?  I thought it was supposed to be the other way around!  I'm sure one of these days Winston's hair will start growing, but it's taking it's time.

He loves sticking his tongue out!  It's so fun to watch him with all of his silly faces.  Never a dull moment around our place :)

Family Pics

We got our family pictures taken this weekend.  I scheduled the appointment for 8:00 in the morning, thinking that would be a good time to catch Winston happy.  He usually is pretty smiley in the mornings and gets progressively grumpier towards the end of the day.  Well, he wasn't the happiest getting his photo taken.  We got a couple of grimaces and a few smirks, but no smiles.  Oh well!  I think they still turned out fun.  He's cute, even when he's not smiling :)

We sure do adore this serious little man!

Happy Easter Everyone!

Hope everyone had a happy Easter!  We sure did :)  We are loving the spring, the warmer weather, and getting together with family.  It was a great weekend!

Whit got his shoes for his bike, and I got mine too!  So we practiced clipping in and out of our bikes :)   Easy breezy :)

It was my turn to host book club, so I picked the book Stargirl, by Jerry Spinelli.  It's a great book and I'd recommend it to anyone :)  Luckily, everyone at our book club liked it too!  We had a great discussion about the book and then ate these yummy and pretty sugar cookies that my sister Kira made.  I had to work that day, so she saved me by making the cookies and having them all ready when I got home.  She's such a rock star!  She even made them match the book cover :)

Winston's getting really good at holding his head up!  He still hasn't turned over yet...

he didn't even move when he toppled over here.  He just sat there patiently, waiting for us to come rescue him.  He's very patient with us :)

He was very unimpressed when presented with his first Easter egg!  We went to Grandma's house in American Fork the day before Easter.  It was a great Fife get-together, we had yummy food, an Easter egg hunt for the kiddos, and a rousing game of nertz!

Whit and Grandma Fife, kicking the old ball around :)

We also had an exciting game of soccer!

Here we all are, on Easter Sunday at Grandma Christensen's house in Brigham City.  It was great to get to see her and visit with family.  I'm so grateful to live close to family!

and that's that.  Here's our happy little 6 month old!

Conference weekend is the best!

I absolutely love conference weekend!  I think it's right up there with Thanksgiving and Christmas time.  I love that we get to stay home together and eat yummy food and hang out together as a family.  We even played nertz!  It just doesn't get any better than that.  Not to mention, I love hearing from the prophet and apostles, and I thought this sessions talks were wonderful!  I loved Saturday's sessions, and the focus the speakers put on the family.  I am so grateful to be sealed to such wonderful people--Andersons and Christensens, and especially to my sweetie Whit and darling boy Winston.  I'm so lucky!

If you look closely, you can see a long stream of drool on this one :)  He drools on everything these days!

He gets really tired after being on his belly for awhile, so this day he just gave up and lied down.  I thought it was too cute when he started sucking on his fingers.  He still won't keep a pacifier in his mouth, but I'm glad he can soothe himself by sucking on his hands!

When Whit and I were dating, I went up to his place to watch Saturday's conference sessions.  Before the morning session we made breakfast together--toasted english muffins with canadian bacon, eggs, and cheese.  And huge glasses of orange juice to drink.  We did the same thing this time, and want to make it a conference tradition.  Yum.

Such a serious boy at times!  But he loved hanging out with Grandpa, watching conference.

Mom and Dad were "listening with their eyes closed."

Sunday my family went to the conference center for the morning session, and then they came to visit us and watch the afternoon session at our place.  I think they were pretty tired by then :)  But we had fun eating, playing nertz, watching conference, google chatting with my brother McKay in China, and playing catch phrase.  We laughed so hard when it was Whit's turn and he grabbed my hand and said, "Brooke and I are..."  My dad shouted out "Best Friends!"  I don't know why, but for some reason that was so funny.  The correct answer was holding hands :)  We had a great time together and I was so sad when it was all over.
